I played at a blues jam a while back with a guy who played through an old
Gibson "Pro." I don't know the actual model designation, but it was a '59
tweed with 2x6L6 and a 15-inch speaker. It was a monster harp amp.
After hearing it I bid on a '58 Fender Pro on eBay, but my $2000 wasn't
enough. Yes, the Pro sounded that good, and there's no reason a repro
cannot sound the same for a lot less money.
Sonny Junior amps are tremendous, but I disagree with Gary Onofrio on this
one. The old-school Pro amps sound GREAT for blues harp.
